Running Down a Dream (RP Between Knight and Skitti)

The things I do sometimes...However, I should be grateful its Zeltros and not Nal Hutta, Nar Shadda or Ord Mantel...

Hardun heaved a sigh as he brought his ship into the atmosphere, having already gotten himself clearance from what passed for the ATC. Nimbly making his way through the atmosphere, he sets down Midnight Comet with ease in one of the births. The smuggler then checked his security moments later before heading off of his ship, his WESTAR pistol sitting in its holster out of precaution.

Well...since I'm here, might as well head to that cantina I heard so much about.

He then paid his docking fees, stopping at a brief meeting to collect his payment before he made his way towards the line of cantinas that seemed to propogate around the spaceport. The man noted one with amusement at its name before he headed inside, already feeling a bit heady.

Heh...Passionate Poison...how appropriate...

He found his way to a booth before sitting down and letting out a sigh of contentment.

Instead of a sense of worry coming over Nasrynn, a rush of excitement ran through her blood.

"First job and It's already gonna be set in difficulty mode!"

Nasrynn blushed a bit. "I played hologames when I was a kid too. One of the best in my neighborhood when it came to smuggler-class games. Rarely anyone could beat me."

"Well, mind you, this is the real thing," Hardun replied, "So just watch yourself when we get out there." He took a bite of his meal, her attitude much like his own when he started his career with his dad. And even though he retained some of that enthusiasm now, it had been dimmed by bitter experience.

However, I don't think her's will die down as fast as mine did, given what I've heard about Zeltrons...

"And when we meet with the client, let me do the talking," he added, "Understood?"

Nasrynn chuckled. "Well, of course. I know virtually nothing about the current situation. What would I have to offer in terms of verbalizing?"

"Good point there," Hardun replied with a chuckle, "Glad you at least you know your limits right now as far as information is concerned," humor lining his statement before he took one last bite to eat, letting the milk slide down his throat as he took another sip of it.

Alright...remember, act professional and nothing bad will probably happen...

"And I'll pick up the tab this time around," the Coruscanti added, a smile on his face.

Nasrynn smiled and nodded. "Go right ahead. I won't argue."

She leaned back in her chair, letting her striking blue hair fall over her back. She watched Hardun as he was about to do business.

And he did just that as the two were finishing their meals, surprisingly easy, given the usual reputation that smugglers tended to carry around with how careless they were in holding on to their credits. The Coruscanti, however, was one of a rare breed who tended to be very careful with what he did with his credits. And like many smugglers, he used hard currency, which was a lot less traceable to authorities, and to anyone else who was tracking him

And there are a lot of people who would love to see me in leg irons...

Finishing the transaction, he gave the waitress a slight smile before she departed, the smuggler finishing his meal soon after he'd finished paying the tab.

Nasrynn stayed seated, awaiting for Hardun to say what's next.

Hardun then looked to his new partner, the two now having no real reason to stay at the cantina other than for trying to stay out of the watchful eye of anyone tracking him. However, neither Imperials nor bounty hunters seemed to suspect that the Coruscanti would use Zeltros as a stop-over.

Good...Buys us some time...

"Alright," he finally replied, "Now, we head to the apartment and wait for the signal from our client."

"Sure thing," she replied. They exited the diner and headed back to Hardun's place. Nasrynn messaged her parents, telling them of her whereabouts and her new future.

"Have fun!" the reply from her mother said. "Be safe! And always do your makeup! Just because you'll be fighting your way through the galaxy doesn't mean you have to let yourself go."

"Stay beautiful, my sunshine," her father then said. "Show the galaxy who's boss!"

Nasrynn rolled her eyes and chuckled.

"See?" she turned to Hardun, showing him the messages. "As long as I'm alive, they're good."

"Good to hear," he replied with a chuckle, "I'll be sure to try and keep you in one piece then. Don't want to disappoint your folks, do I?" the Corscanti let out another chuckle, smiling as they made their way to his apartment, knowing that that kind of humor would probably be happening a lot more often these days.

Given how much danger we'll be in...we'll need any bit of laughter we can get...
